St. James Annual General Meeting
The 2021 AGM will be held via Zoom on Monday, February 7, 2022 at 7:00PM. The Annual Report will be made available well in advance of that date. Information on how to connect will be made available closer to the date. We hope to see you on February 7th.
Sunday School
As a result of the temporary church closure for in-person worship, Sunday School will be paused until further notice. The Sunday School teacher (Rowan) will email out video activities weekly for the families to do with the children at each families’ leisure. If you are interested in getting on the email list for these activities please contact the church office (stjames.office@sasktel.net). Thank you for your understanding and patience, if you have any questions or concerns please reach out to the church office.
Sandwiches for Waterston House
We require 20 loaves of sandwiches for Waterston House on February 6, 2022. Any kind of sandwich is appreciated. Please leave the loaves uncut. Please have the sandwiches at the church by 10:00. If you are able to supply sandwiches please contact one of the following:

Broadview Renewal/New Subscriptions: Its time to renew your subscription to Broadview (formerly The Observer). For $25 you will receive an annual subscription with eight issues over the year of a magazine that looks at current spiritual matters within the United Church and beyond. New subscribers are welcome. Due to the temporary suspension of in person church services, please, by February 15, 2022, drop off a cheque in the church’s mail box or make an e-transfer to St. James United Church and note it is for a Broadview subscription. If you have any questions contact stjamesoffice@sasktel.net .
Book Group at St James: On Monday January 10 the 1:30-3:00 pm book group will start discussing the book How to Heal our Divides: A Practical Guide edited by Brian Allain and Adam Thomas. (available at Amazon and Kindle). The book outlines why there are divides and gives examples of how to resolve them. There are over 30 contributors to the book. The group meets weekly with the understanding people will not be available every week . A set number of chapters are discussed each week. For January 17, please read chapters 1, 5, 13 and 11 for January 24 please read chapters 2, 10, 17, and 19. Presently we meet on ZOOM at the following link:

We are currently looking for a few volunteers to help us with running the Sunday Service live stream on Facebook. Time spent at the church for the set up and take down of the equipment would be from 9 am to 11 am. Full training and support provided, no previous experience or Facebook account needed. Regina Native Outreach Ministry - Request for Donations for New Mom Welcome Packages
Regina Native Outreach Ministry (RNOM) invites you to participate in their New Indigenous Moms Welcome Packages initiative!
The goal is to provide a few items to help new Indigenous moms care for their babies and themselves in the early days after the baby is born. RNOM will assemble the packages and Rev. Deb Anderson-Pratt (306-519-7840) will deliver them.
To support this project, RNOM is looking for donations of the following items (ideally by February 7, 2022):

- Baby shampoo
- Baby wipes
- Nursing pads
- Sanitary supplies
- Small gift for Mom such as a candle, hand lotion, lip balm, etc.
