Sanctuary at start of renovations
In May 2009 the congregation of St James voted to start a group of projects to upgrade the facilities at St James. The projects and their fundraising events were given the name 'Under the Umbrella'. The roof over room 9 , the sound system and the sanctuary were the first projects taken on. The kitchen will be the next area to be improved, hopefully with the addition of a commercial dishwasher.
With the help of many volunteers the choir loft and stair area were dismantled and the pews in the front of the church were removed to make way for the new ramp, larger choir and music loft area.
